Inspired by a true story and directed by Magnus von Horn, THE NEEDLE GIRL follows young worker Caroline (Vick Carmen Sonne) as she struggles to survive in post-war Copenhagen. When she is unemployed, abandoned and pregnant, she meets Dagmar (Trine Dyrholm), a charismatic woman who runs an illegal adoption agency and helps mothers find foster families for their unwanted children.
