This is Netflix’s most expensive project in Latin America to date, with Colombian and indigenous groups. The funny thing is, I don’t remember the book like that at all.
It all comes from a master of the genre
Sure it was weird, but then again, the author is very poetic about bringing up old curses and such… or tragic love, human nature. I was swept away by almost everything, not in the first episode, I was intrigued then and I hope you let the alchemy/magic happen like I did. Let a mendicant’s cloak wrap you in its fantastical story.
Like some “Game of Thrones”; fever
It all comes back to history and memory and how uncertain and tangled they are and what we make of them. I felt the need to read the novel again, right now! The difference is I can’t read the original, only a translation.
A sad but beautiful one
