An exclusive profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. It took a year and a half to get permission to film the lavish dance sequence on London’s Regent Street over four nights because it is actually owned by the British Royal Family. Two nights before they were due to film, after spending a whole week rehearsing in a studio where they recorded on the street, Queen Elizabeth II died and the shoot had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid anyway, including stores and crew, and production insurance did not cover losses from the monarch’s death, so the producers had to raise additional funds to film the episode filmed five months later. The title character Robbie Williams is depicted as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimpanzee.
