In the timeless town of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and destiny
This is Netflix’s most expensive Latin American project to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities building the props and sets for the series.
I’m still on episode 4, but so far so good, actually pretty incredible, it was everything I hoped it would be
I know a lot of people aren’t going to be happy with this adaptation, but at the end of the day it’s a big big novel, we all know it can’t be filmed and as you all know the author did.
I think they did a remarkable job of recreating the spirit of the novel + the actors are very good, and the locations and the whole production was actually satisfying
I hadn’t agreed to adapt the novel before, and now his children have agreed to adapt it, so I think Netflix managed to adapt it pretty well, maybe not all perfectly, but they got it very close.
No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows on Netflix this month
Overall, I recommend people give this a try, and don’t let the critics sway you, and don’t let the Netflix name sway you either.
