Plot

The residents of a dilapidated French apartment building battle an army of deadly, rapidly multiplying spiders. The spectacular buildings where the action takes place were not made for the film; these are the Picasso arenas in Noisy-le-Grand near Paris, designed by architect Manuel Núñez Yanowsky in the 80s. When TN feels the effects of the spider bite, he wears one of the new shoes.

The spider effects are all very well done

He wouldn’t have worn the right shoes after being attacked/poisoned.. Keroué Keroué. The film is well shot with good lighting and cinematography.

The acting was also good

But as far as the story goes… why did people in the middle east work so hard to get these things for a few bucks? I’m confused as to why the venomous animal expert tried to put a spider in the shoe box.

I am confused as to why, after the spider escapes from the shoebox, it lays one of its eggs in the same shoebox. I’m confused as to why the spiders are suddenly afraid of light halfway through the movie. I’m confused how the spiders webbed a bunch of people up to the ceiling…

But for those interested in the finer plot points, it’s an enjoyable creature nonetheless
